Publicis hires Lizzie Dewhurst to global PR role

Publicis Communications has appointed Lizzie Dewhurst to the newly created role of global PR and communications director. Dewhurst, who previously held the same title at sister agency Publicis Worldwide, will be will be responsible for strategies across Publicis Groupe's creative agency hub. Before joining Publicis Worldwide in 2014, she was PR and comms manager at marketing and ad agency TBWA. 

Nudge adds pair of food clients

Specialist food PR agency Nudge has added two new clients to its portfolio. The agency has begun working with Guittard Chocolate Company, and has been tasked with bringing the US brand to the UK market. It has also started working with Cheers Alcoholic Ice Creams, and has been tasked with handling comms for the entire range and the launch of new flavours, as well as ongoing press activity.

New launch at ctn

The London agency ctn group (formerly ctn communications) has launched two new brands; a "seriously creative communications agency" called Embolden, and individual and corporate reputation firm The Leadership Agency. Embolden has made two hires to strengthen its team of content creators and producers. Jay Short joins as strategy director, having previously worked at VR and AR brand experiences company Inition. Ho Raven joins the agency as head of digital, having worked in-house at KPMG and JWT.

WPR hires consumer director

Midlands-based PR firm WPR has appointed Rebecca Williams as consumer director. Williams, who started this month, joins the agency following a decade at McCann, where she served as group account director. As consumer director she has been tasked with expanding the division and devising strategic campaigns that deliver tangible commercial benefits, WPR said. In March WPR hired Graeme McKenzie, former head of marketing at Heineken and Bidvest, as strategy and planning director.

Stature appoints new business and digital director

Stature PR has appointed former Way To Blue director Tim West to the newly created role of new business and digital director. West will lead the agency’s new business operations and be responsible for shaping the company’s digital content strategy for growth in the UK and across Stature’s international offices.

PR Media Co wins Valencia Tourism Board

The Valencia Region Tourism Board has appointed travel PR specialist PR Media Co to handle its UK PR throughout 2017. The remit includes promotion of the Valencia region and several tourist destinations in eastern Spain.

Fleet Street Comms hired by short breaks firm

Short break provider Greatlittlebreaks has appointed Fleet Street Communications (FSC) to implement a consumer PR campaign following a competitive pitch. FSC will deliver a consumer media relations programme, alongside social media activity, to help build the profile of the company, which offers stays in hotels, lodges, pubs and inns.
