The agency, situated north of Cairngorms National Park in Aberlour, offers a range of services, including PR, content marketing, and corporate comms, for businesses in the region.
To coincide with the launch, Spey has revealed Brown-Forman as a new client. Work began this month, with the agency has been tasked with handling consumer PR for Brown-Forman's BenRiach, Glenglassaugh and GlenDronach Scotch whisky brands.
While Spey was established in September last year; its headquarters are officially opening today. The agency has four members of staff, and its roster of clients also includes The Malt Whisky Trail and Loch Fyne Oysters.
Roberston said: "Major food and drink regions around the world such as Rioja or Champagne are serviced by a buoyant creative sector and I wanted to kick-start that process in Speyside with a full-service communications agency based in Aberlour at the heart of the largest single malt whisky producing area in the world."
Before founding Spey, Robertson was communications director a specialist agency LUX between February and September last year. Prior to this, she spent two years earlier in her career as head of PR for the Yes Scotland independence referendum campaign between 2012 to 2014. Robertson was also PR manager for the SNP between 2011 and 2012.
