The yogurt brand was almost as quick as social media to condemn the Panthers' firebrand quarterback. But was it too quick?

The Carolina Panthers’ firebrand quarterback, Cam Newton, is once again in the news cycle.

During an press conference, Newtown implied that a female reporter was out of her element as a woman discussing wide receivers running routes. Social media responded quickly, as it tends to. Dannon, the parent company of Newton-endorsed Oikos yogurt, responded nearly as quickly by firing the quarterback as a spokesperson for the brand.
